This former Japanese 4WD "welfare van" was retired from service after its wheelchair lift stopped functioning. Upon importation it received a basic maintenance package, 2.5" lift, new KYB Monomax shocks, a set of General Grabber AT/X tires on late model 16" Tacoma alloy wheels, and a factory Toyota snorkel. All that's left is an interior build-out to suit this vans full potential (ripping out the old wheelchair lift will net you ~4" of floor height and some nice weight savings). The LH129 features Toyota's somewhat slow but famously reliable 3L 2.8 liter diesel engine mated to an automatic transmission. Power is sent to all 4 wheels through a full-time 4WD system. The welfare vans are unique in that in addition to the extended wheelbase and high roof of the LH129 chassis, they also include factory safari style roof windows with interior retractable shades. It was imported from Japan in May 2021 and is offered for your consideration.
